November 2016 remains a remarkable day for the family of Usman, as their
daughter Basirat Opeyemi Usman was
awarded a scholarship by the Yomi Otubela Foundation (Y.O.F - owner of
Lagooz Schools).
Basirat Usman, who finished her secondary school education 2
years ago could not further her education simply because her parent could not
afford her University education and as such, was asked to proceed to learn hairdressing
as a trade.
It has been her dream to study Mathematics in the University
so as to become a Mathematics Teacher and she almost gave up all hope until the
Yomi Otubela Foundation got to know of her plight through a good Samaritan. She
was thereafter, called for an assessment and interview where she was able to
impress the YOF team and yesterday the 14th of November 2016, she
was awarded scholarship to study at any University of her choice in Nigeria.
The scholarship covers the following items:
1 .
JAMB (UTME) form
2 .
Tuition fee
3 .
Textbooks
4 .
Accommodation
5 .
Feeding
More so, the YOF has promised to assist in setting up a
business relating to her line of trade in order to help her while in school.
Lastly, the President and Founder of the YOF, Chief Yomi
Otubela FCMA (Proprietor of Lagooz Schools) advised Basirat to be hardworking
and remain focused in her academics.
Once again, the YOF team congratulates Basirat Opeyemi Usman
and we wish you the very best.
