Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Education, Dr. Jamila Shua'ra, has disclosed that sports is essential for students as it takes care of their physical and psychological well-being.
Dr. Shua'ra who was represented by the Director of Technology and Science Education in the Ministry, Mr. Samuel Ojo said this at an annual inter-house sports.
"Sports as an essential part of the school curricular activities provides for the physical well-being of the students, for this reason, the Federal Ministry of Education, in line with the National Policy on education, ensure that sporting activities are organised not only within colleges but between other colleges within and outside the zones", she said.
Meanwhile, Lagooz Schools is in full gear ahead of its biennial inter-house sports festival.
Weekly aerobics class for parents / guardians and other sports activities for students has since commenced.
