Healthy Eating Habit by Pupils enhances Learning, says expert

For the umpteenth time, parents have been advised to expose their kids to healthy eating habits, particularly fruits and vegetables, owing to their effective role in child’s growth and academic success.

Chief Executive Officer of Simply Green, a farm-to-bottle organic juice company, Shola Ladoja, who gave the advice at the unveiling of the TLS Ikoyi “Fruitful Friendship Programme,” said early exposure to right feeding habits guarantees lifelong healthy lifestyles, reduces healthcare costs and prevents deaths from poor nutrition-related diseases.
With a practical demonstration of blending fruits and vegetables at the event, he explained that fruits and vegetables are important sources of many nutrients, including potassium, dietary fiber, folate, Vitamin A, and Vitamin C, which enhance learning ability of pupils.

He said: “The importance of providing your kids with fruits and vegetables is overwhelming. Fruits and vegetables contain so many vitamins, which help in child’s growth and development, and also in their academics. It doesn’t take time to mix, just discover your kids’ favourites and blend for them, it has numerous advantages naturally.”
 
The School Administrator, Oyin Egbeyemi, said the friendship programme was aimed at promoting healthy living and inculcating spirit of fruitful friendship among pupils. She, therefore, urged parents to continually partner the school as it keeps unveiling its expansion plan targeted at the strategic repositioning of the school.
On her part, Head Teacher of the school, Mrs. Busola Aina, said health is very keen to everything in life, thus the school’s resolve to sensitise pupils and parents on the benefits of healthy living.
